The rain this morning.

First days of Autumn, same routine every year. Re-adapting to work during the first weeks after the holidays, storing the new firewood, changing the clothes in the closet. That's all taken care of.
But the first drops of rain also brought me a present: the powercord of BOTH MacBook Pro here at home broke down yesterday so we had to go out and buy them. Funny little thing: you can find a place selling MacBooks every 5km, they all tell you iPhone's and MacBook's powercords damage easily... but you have to drive about 30km to find a MagSafe. And..... there was only ONE, so we'll have to share a powercord until we find a second one.
Today I woke up to a grey windy rainy day. The summer's definitely over. In need of something sweet? You bet! I went to the kitchen and had the best medicine a day like this could ask for: a mug chocolate cake!
The only tools you'll need: a mug and a spoon.
In a mug, mix 4 tablespoons of flour, 4 tablespoons of sugar and 2 tablespoons of chocolate powder.
Add 1 egg and mix again.
Add 3 tablespoons of milk and 3 tablespoons of oil.
Let it cook in the microwave for 3 minutes.
There's nothing better to welcome the first Autumn rain!

Even Cooper was a bit jealous.

Adiciona 1 ovo e mexe outra vez.

  1. Although autumn is thankfully a long way off for me (spring has just arrived here)
I think I may need to try out this scrumptious cake...well it would be rude not to wouldn't it?

  2. Your mug cake looks perfectly tempting for a cool fall day - especially if it is enjoyed while wrapped up in a blanket with a good book in hand...

    1. That was the plan! Well, not the blanket though. Too soon for that. Half-way through "A Game of Thrones". My intention was to finish the five books before the next season returns to tv but... we'll see. :P

    1. :D I've also tried coffee cake. It's ok, but not as sweet and I never finish it. I must try it with shredded coconut...

As for Cooper: it's amazing how they haven't tasted something and they immediately know it's something good. Might be my "MINE...ALL MINE.... MY PRECIOUS....." face, I don't know. Thank you for your visit, Lena
