Pumpkin and Orange Jam Almond topping [for cupcakes or ice cream] // Topping de amêndoa com Doce de Abóbora e Laranja [para cupcakes ou gelado]


Today I'm revealing one of my favorite home-made toppings: it's sweet and salty, and what I love the most is its surprisingly fruity flavor.


Ingredients:

sliced almond
pumpkin and orange jam (meia.dúzia)
salt

Coat the almond with the jam and the salt. Transfer the mixture to an oven-proof dish and toast it. Use it to top your favorite ice cream or cream cheese frosted cupcakes.

Hoje vou revelar um dos meus toppings caseiros preferidos: é doce e salgado, e aquilo de que gosto mais é o seu sabor surpreendentemente frutado.


Ingredientes:

amêndoa fatiada
doce de abóbora e laranja (meia.dúzia)
sal

Cubram a amêndoa com o doce e o sal. Transfiram a mistura para uma travessa de ir ao forno e tosta-a. Usem-na como topping no vosso gelado preferido ou em cupcakes cobertos com creme de queijo.

    1. Thank you, Angie. I was trying to answer to my craving for fruit after I eat almond. Almond in a butter/sugar/milk mixture would be fine, too, but this fruit-flavoured one is a pleasant option, I think.

    1. I had never had it before finding this jam either. Meiaduzia have really nice combinations, like kiwi with Douro moscatel jam or strawberry and raspberry with vanilla jam. Really amazing flavours, in a tube. Thank you so much!
