It's Friday and all I can think of is Why am I always so busy on my day off? I had to spend the morning in 3 banks signing a few documents and changing my address, in the shopping centre taking photos and then rushing to change the address in my driver's license, in the supermarket buying a few things for my mom's birthday party tomorrow, in 3 stores buying my mom's presents (and one for myself - sorry, couldn't resist), in the kitchen baking a cake and preparing a few boxes of chocolates for tomorrow... I was rushing and researching for a banana curry with almond rice recipe and decided I couldn't resist any longer, so I did HALF a version of it: Banana slices with a butter and almond cream. Ingredients: 1 banana 40g sugar 50g butter 2 tablespoons milk 50g sliced almonds Heat the sugar, butter and milk in a saucepan. Add the almond. When its texture becomes creamy, slice a banana, put it on a nice bowl and pour the warm cream over it. I think this would be great with a spoonful of a lemony rice pudding. Do you have any more-tart-less-sweet recipes? Juntem a amêndoa. |
